Users who register via Google automatically have their username with almost their entire email address, such as email@hotm
The username should consist of at most the text before the @

The only problem with that is that you can't have 2 users with the same name. So if you already have a registered user with the name of example. johndoe then youi can't have another with the name of johndoe@gmail.com but with the @gmail.com dropped.
