XF 2.2 User permissions and email notification

Hello Community,

Let's say I have a group called X and a private node forum called Z.

I add a new user with access to X; that user creates a new threat in forum Z and signs up for email notifications when new replies are posted.

Then I removed his access to X because it is for paid members, and he stopped his subscription.

I he going to continue getting the email notification on his thread even if he loses his access to the Z forum?
