XF 2.0 User name auto fill search

I hadn't noticed this until now, but at some point after upgrading to XF 2.0 when I type a user name into say the conversation recipient input the names don't come up in the search. It doesn't happen for all names, but there is at least one situation where there are 4 users that start with "App" and none of them come up as selections.

Any ideas?

Have those users been active recently?

Only recently active users are shown. It's the same in XF1.

Ah, OK. I never realized that. One that I was trying to get is a BOT user, do no activity is ever recorded for it.
