XF 2.2 User Group Promotion

Hi,

I am wanting to promote a user from Registered to 'Community Member' user group after 1 thread post in a specified node.

Steps taken so far:

1. I have setup the Community Member user group.
2. I have setup User Group Promotions called 'Register > Community Member' (refer image 1).
3. I have setup the permission for the promotion group (refer image 2).
4. I also lockdown the forums which the Registered user group can see and limit this to one forum for introduction purposes.
5. I register a new user and it works. I post in the Introduction forum however,
6. After one post, I do not get promoted to Community Member group.

I have run the manual cron job and also have rebuilt User Promotions...still nothing.

What am I doing wrong ?

Hard to say what the issue is without seeing all of the details.

I suspect there may be conflicting criteria.

From your profile it doesn't seem you're new to Xenforo, so you might be aware of the usergroup structure in Xenforo. Users are not promoted from one primary usergroup to another primary usergroup. They will remain in their existing primary group and will be added to a secondary.

Do users have access to all forums after posting their first message anyway?
