URL Redirection For IP.Board 3.2.3

    Hey everyone,

So I have just moved from IP.Board 3.2.3 to XenForo 1.04. Question is, is there anyway I can redirect the old URLs? I have over 7,000 indexed pages via site:admincentral.org in Google and I really don't want them all rendered useless.

Any information would be very much appreciated.

    Alright, I'll try it out.

EDIT: Ah, it uses the log. I had to go IPB 3.2.3 to MyBB to 3.1.4 to XenForo so that may prove difficult.

    Yep, that's a problem.

Can you confirm the import order? You say you went from IPB to MyBB to XF, but XF has no MyBB importer to my knowledge.

    Sorry, didn't type all that.

    I went in this order.

    IP.Boad 3.2.3
    MyBB 1.6.4
    IP.Board 3.1.4
    XenForo 1.0.4

Wow. OK. I am not familiar with IPB's importer. If it was me and it was very important to redirect old links then I would look for the ID mappings of each import in each interim database. If you can make each step then it may be possible to flatten the triple ID map into just one step by updating the source IDs in XenForo's import log. Then the redirect scripts should work. This requires that you are comfortable working with databases.

I will have to try that out then. It's worth a shot. If worst comes to worst I can just use a 301 direct on those and slowly get them all indexed again.

What merge program did you use to convert from IPB 3.2.3 to MyBB 1.6.4? Their current merge program only supports the IPB 2.x.x versions.

They have an unsupported merger on the SVN.

    It works for everything important.
