XF 1.1 Uploading issue

Hi guys!

I have suddenly developed an issue with uploading images on my site, and get the following error whenever I try to upload a photo...

The following error occurred
There was a problem uploading your file.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I checked permissions and the Admin group has 0 set on all the attachment options.

Could it be a hosting issue? Local issue to me, or something else?

I dunno, but it's a little frustrating on a site that is heavy on posting photos.

Can you upload the image here?
I have seen that before with some images due to corruption, etc.

Have there been any changes made on the server?
Mod security can also cause this error.

Try disabling the flash uploader and check if it works then.

Hmmm no go here either.

Will try any random image off my computer

Nope... no images at all, even ones I have previously posted on my site will load now... colour me confused :S

So you can't also upload them here?
That would suggest a problem with the images or your computer.

Are you able to try a different device or browser?

I just uploaded one of the failed images to Facebook without issue.

Golly I dunno! You know me and technology... >_<

I will try rebooting this old lappy, see if it helps.

Nope, still no go on Firefox, will try another browser.

Can you upload one of the images somewhere so I can download and test it?

Hi Paul, it is both here and my own sites.

I am pretty sure the images are fine, this is happening with other images I have previously posted too, all attachments in fact, not just images.

Just to clarify, no one else is having this issue, and thinking about it I don't think it's anything to do with Xenforo, but it is only happening on xenforo sites :S

Yes, I can upload those fine.
Try disabling the Flash Uploader in your preferences and trying again: http://xenforo.com/community/account/preferences

Hmm OK that seems to have worked

That suggests there may be an issue with Flash on your laptop.
Try upgrading it for your browser(s).

P.S. Can I have a slice?
