XF 1.5 Upgrading to New XenForo

Alright so, I have a XenForo forum that I bought in 2017. I haven't done much work on it but I am planning on cleaning it up and changing the theme to a different theme. The Xenforo is the 2017 version. How can I upgrade it to a new Xenforo without all my links breaking? Any suggestions on this?

Renew your license, run the upgrade.

The bigger issue is going from 1.5 to 2.x will break themes and add ons.

Let's say I did got the new theme and new version of XF. I could potentially lose all my rankings, but how fast will it take to recover? or does Xenforo have like redirect add on something like Wordpress has?

Links from 1.5 to 2.x don't change. you won't lose any rankings.
