Reset some custom of my settings/admin > options > gallery, why?

Generally, there are some new or changed options. They don't represent 100% identical things.

Then it should be noted on the announcement thread so that old costumers will be aware.

As with any add-on update, official or otherwise, it's important to review all permissions and options after upgrading.

Which settings caused a problem, exactly?

Page Layout Options Settings tab.
Maybe I also missed some settings.

It was mentioned in the changes thread:

Simplified "per page" options in Gallery Options > Page Layout.

Today was quite a unique announcement and it didn't seem right to fill that with information about various changes, hence why there was a separate thread rather than it being included in the announcement.
