Upgrade Questions

Hi,

I'd like to upgrade from XF 1.5.x to XF 2 and had a couple of questions...

1. Is this the cheapest method to upgrade?

2. If I have the Resources Manager, will I need to upgrade that license as well or is it included here?
3. Can you point me to information on how to upgrade?
4. I'm assuming add-ons will break unless I get new XF 2.0 compatible versions?

Oh I almost forgot... I saw somewhere that XF2 now has the ability to have Paid Resources? I was using [bd] Paygates add-on in XF1.5x to have users seemlessly pay for a resource via PayPal prior to downloading it.

Is this functionality now included in XF2?

No, that’s not something we’re doing.

The part of Pay Gates we have implemented is more payment providers and a much more flexible purchasable framework but paying for resources directly through the RM would still need an add on.

I'm confused.

Surely you can upgrade from xf1.5 to xf 2 for no payment at all if you have a current licence. Buying an extension is only requirrd if your current licence has expired.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Or as the question is in pre-sales we presume the OP has an expired licence?
