XF 1.1 Upgrade Issues

I just upgraded to Xenforo 1.1.5 and my entire forum page is showing a blank white page.
I can get into my admin panel but i can't do anything on the actual forum.

Go to <url>/install/ and rebuild master data. That should sort it.

thanks mike but i discovered a index.html was in the root and i just deleted it and it seemed to fix it

my question/concern now would be how an index.html suddenly appeared in the root by just doing an upgrade.

It would have had to have been put there manually or as a function of the server.

The upgrade script can't do that.
