XF 1.4 Updating/Uninstalling a lot of add-ons?

If I uninstall and update a lot of add-ons, all the templates and phrases are rebuilt at each uninstall/install/update of any single add-on. This takes a real lot of time (often several hours if you've to handle a lot of add-ons)

Is there a way to disable the automatic rebuild process temporarily and run the rebuild manually or just enable the process before the last add-on is updated?

I know there is no switch for that in XF. Can it be done with a file edit? Does anyone have any experience with that?

You can hit back on the browser before the rebuild starts, then do a final rebuild on the last one.

It's not a recommended method of doing it, but it does work and can save time.

    For installing, I use this
    Add-on Install & Upgrade

I upload all the addons to the library folder and then select all the xml files at once. Everything gets installed with a single rebuild of the templates.
