Unique Visitors going up, but...

This is wired....

I am looking at AWstats in my cpanel. The unique visitors appear to be slightly
going up, but the strange part is, i also have google live, and it shows 0 visitors
on the site, so how am I getting unique visitors?

In the last hr, my unique visitors went up by 20
in the last hr, google live shows 0 live visitors on site.

otherwise, it would appear that any stats I have are nothing more then bogus bloated stats...

The first step is to remove awstats

its part of cpanel so i can not remove it, but I guess I can try to find something better.

AWStats can be useful now and then, but in 99% of the cases I would use Google Analytics for stats.
Google Analytics does profile your visitors and your visitors will notice this in regards to the ads that are served and in their Google account history.
If Google Analytics is an issue in regards to discretion, then look into http://piwik.org/

I already had google setup, now I have piwik setup.
Its always important to track that 1 visitor per month that I get
