Fixed Unfurl shows red x

Why does the unfurl function show a red x next to the domain?



I would think this would confuse some to think there is a broken link.

What URL are you sharing? Tested on my local install with https://wordpress.org/support/forum/requests-and-feedback/ (guessing from the title on the link in your screenshot) and it works fine

It's because the image proxy doesn't support .ico files (yet).

Thank you for reporting this issue. The issue is now resolved and we are aiming to include that in a future XF release (2.1.0 Beta 5).

Change log:

Allow .ico images to be proxied through the image proxy, mostly for unfurl support.

Any changes made as a result of this issue being resolved may not be rolled out here until later.
