i have a uncontrolled spam on my forum, allways my "off topic" forum that get spammed.

i have email confirm enable
recaptcha + Q&A. my question is a simple math Q.

I have installed XenUtils and added FSpamList & BotScout.
But still i get a lot of spam.

QnA has been the biggest help for us, if you're doing simple math then that's a huge problem.

I'd make it unique to your website, depending on your niche easy enough for someone who knows something about the niche of site could answer it.

We have a gaming site so we use gaming questions that I believe any gamer could answer but it has stopped all bot registrations.

math questions are what bots live for, a simple word answer eg spell spam backwards is better, something a little more complex better yet.. just make sure the answer is obvious. Even "this site is about handbags, what is this site about?" works well as bots don't seem to be able to work it, humans are a different problem

I have sonb stop spam here installed too

also i do not allow new members to use links anywhere until after a minimum post count...15 i believe
