As designed Unapprove post - post number problem

When I unapprove post #2 it will be shown as post #1.

I noted also:

When there are foe example 3 posts #1, #2, #3 and if we unapprove post #2 the numbering became #1, #1, #2

I think since post #1 number will not change the numbering should be #1, #2, #2.

This is as designed and how it has worked since 1.0. This is an important part of the post position system.
