XF 1.5 Unable to send email

Hello,

We moved from vB to xF 2 days back.

Using

• Digital Ocean Servers
• Default email sending configuration of xF
• Installed phpMail.

But still getting error:

Unable to send email.
Error: Zend_Mail_Transport_Exception: Email to xyz@gmail.com failed: Unable to send mail. - library/Zend/Mail/Transport/Sendmail.php:137

This could be issue with ports or our installations.

How do we debug to get to the problem?
