XF 1.4 Unable to edit sig as an Admin

Whenever I try and go to my profile to edit my signature, the link isn't there. The only way for me to edit my sig is to place myself as a registered member. I read somewhere this was an issue ... is it still or is there a workaround for this? Thanks!

That's the way to do it.
Everyone (which includes you, the admin) supposed to be in the registered group.

Think of the registered group as like a base group with a set of permissions that you can either add to or revoke from by adding a person to other secondary groups, existing or custom.

Admin = Registered + Admin
Troll = Registered + Troll
