We've been getting a good bit of rain here in Alberta this year. All we have for umbrellas are cheap $15 dollar ones that fall apart when a bit of wind hits them. Anyone know of an umbrella manufacturer that makes a decent umbrella that would last a long time, rugged, and looks good with a leather bag?

Move to BC, we have very little rain here :) well the interior anyway, don't move to the wet cost LOL

Everything depends on the kind of umbrella and not on quality or price. Try to use bubble umbrellas. They are often used by newscasters reporting on TV on storms. Such umbrellas are ideal for high wind situations and protection from heavy rain.
I suppose that they look not good with leather bag. But rain protection is more important.

I've found that golf umbrellas are generally more sturdy and provide more cover than the cheaper umbrellas. Admittedly, they are more expensive - but you usually got what you pay for.
Unfortunately, the golf umbrellas may not look good with a leather bag - BUT you might stay dry. (y)
