XF 2.0 Two-factor authentication suddenly stopped working

Two-factor authentication suddenly stopped working. I tried setting it up for my backup admin account and it didn't work from the getgo. It said the code could not be verified. Where can I go in the database (through phpmyadmin) to manually force disable two-factor authentication? I can't get into my forum otherwise. Backup codes don't work either.

It was working fine for months using my two-factor app and now it suddenly stopped working.

Hi @NURV first thing I would check is your server time - if it’s incorrect 2FA will always fail.

Failing that you can disable it temporarily by adding a line into your src/config.php file:

$config['enableTfa'] = false;

Server time was the issue. I had inadvertently blocked the port needed to sync the time. Good to go again.
