Looks like all the ingredients of turning a Xenforo forum into a blog site is already there.

Your Xenforo blog can have sliders: Xenporta: Attachment Slider, Featured Threads and Widgets (Xenporta also shrinks the replies in an article thread so that it looks more like a blog) Promoted Content: Attachment Sliders and Featured Threads.

Your Xenforo blog can have widgets: Xenporta, BD Widget Framework. Your Xenforo blog can feature content: Featured Announcements (List Style). Featured Threads (Shows post Content - Upcoming).

Your first post content can be on each page. First Post On Each Page.

Categories can use the Prefix System: Multiple Prefixes.

Profile Page Integration: List Threads in Selected Forums.

    Scheduled Blogs? Done: Scheduled Posts

Want tags, just add a hashtag: Hashtagging.

Want members to advertise? XenMods Advertising.

Want RSS to be fed to one blog only? Done. Same Thread Feed.

We already have an Attachment Manager too.

So what's missing so far? Three things: Vanity URLs, Multiple Pages for First Post, Posts and Threads to Follow Member Privacy Settings (but in this case an additional option using node permissions).

I'd still prefer to have it in 1, single add-on. But I guess that is one way to go about it :)

    K! Edited.
Our Better Blog's addon lack some basic featured blogs functionality that we can do in Xenforo.

I listed those blog features here: http://xfaddons.com/threads/featured-blogs-slider-with-ratings.189/

Also, the vanity urls feature would be better for our member pages because our member pages look really good.
