Trust+ [Deleted]

Can this add-on be used to monitor existing members for malicious activity? Or are people only analyzed during registration?

We are an invite-only forum so we don't have the problem of spam bots/humans, however, this creates its own set of problems, as people who are banned seek to come back by hacking accounts, fraudulently obtaining invites, or attempting to socially engineer their way into existing inactive member accounts by claiming they're the original owner.

If there is a way to perform the Proxy/VPN/TOR queries on existing members, say once a day, or once per new IP, and report the findings in a thread or the admincp, that would be very helpful to us.

Trust+ currently checks when a member registers or they attempt to change their email address. A modification like DBTech Security would help prevent Tor use from existing members.

I'm getting a very strange bug where the subnav links do not work work on iOS devices when this addon is enabled. Any idea?

Ever hear anything from him? Might be time to mark this as unmaintained...
Contacted them on their site and received a resolution from someone else. Then heard from Shiro a day or two later. It's still supported, just not quite as responsive as they once were.

Regrettably, Trust+ has decided to cease providing service due to a lack of demand.

Service will continue to be provided to existing customers until 2018-06-18. New registrations have been disabled. No new subscription charges will accrue; service will continue to be provided for the duration of customers' current billing periods, and then service for the remaining period between the end of customers' current billing period and the shutdown date 2018-06-18 will be provided gratis to provide customers with time to uninstall Trust+ from their infrastructures.
Customers should uninstall Trust+ addons from their forum software before 2018-06-18 to ensure optimal user experience. Failure to do so will result in registrations failing open, but may result in delays during forum user account signups.
The following details the shutdown timeline.
  • 2018-04-18: Shutdown announced.
  • 2018-04-18 to 2018-05-18: Existing billing periods expire, ensuring customers receive service to which they are entitled. No new charges accrue.
  • 2018-05-18 to 2018-06-18: Service is provided to existing customers gratis. Customers should uninstall the Trust+ addon from their forums after 2018-05-18 and before 2018-06-18.
  • 2018-06-18: The Trust+ API service shuts down. Any forum which does not uninstall the Trust+ addon by this time will cause Trust+ checks to fail open, but delays may occur during registration.
Any residual enquiries should be addressed to support@trust.plus prior to 2018-07-18, one month following service shutdown.
