translation file: exact format

Hello,

In what format exactly should we offer a translation file ?

I use XF's internal system to translate sentences.
For each phrase I modify the text in English for text in French. Should the title text also be changed ? (the value that must be unique).
After exporting the file in XML will it make a difference if this value is modified or not ?

This is how my XML file is formatted :

<phrase title="old" addon_id="XF" version_id="2000970" version_string="2.0.9">Ancien</phrase>

should it be rather like this to be a real translation file ?

<phrase title="ancien" addon_id="XF" version_id="2000970" version_string="2.0.9">Ancien</phrase>

thanks !

That's what I thought (and hoped !) but as the field was open to modification I had a doubt.

So the only thing to do to finalize the file is edit this paragraph at the top of XML, isn't it ?
XML:

Many thanks Lukas.
