Yep I understand that. It can be a problem. That's why I serve attachments from a CDN with this great addon.
The problem with doing this is the movie information becomes part of the first post in a thread. Amazon prices and where to buy an item can change hourly. So, it would be next to impossible to update the links properly in the thread text.Would be great if this could include all the Worldwide amazon affiliate links to buy the DVD / Blu-ray etc.
I see what you mean. You don't need to worry about prices, just the amazon links. I already add them to my forum posts which is a DVD / Blu-ray forum.
I would think so. I did check Plan 9 From Outer Space and that did show up. The only way to be sure is to check a few on their site. No, I basically announce that XX film is coming to either DVD or Blu-ray from Company Name.
Does this other movie database list the most obscure cult movies?
Yes, the info I'm asking about is for an automated updater which a couple of people have asked for.No because before there was no set structure some might say, "Have you seen Movie X?" Or "This movie is awesome!" With no title at all. Are you looking for an automated updater? Maybe for some. Some will just have to be updated by manually looking up the movie.

The manual update for the thread list display is for the most part done already. It does not change the thread contents but it allows existing threads to display properly in the forum thread list.
There is no telling what is posted in the existing post. Some, if not all, may already have the poster, movie info and youtube trailer in them. Or they may have some other combination of that info. To add that info a second time would be redundant. Can't you just have those just manually lookup the movie, change the thread title, then put the movie info above the existing post?

It's better to leave the existing post alone.
Personally, I think like some other items, you're over thinking this. The original post content should remain the same.If you are manually editing it then you can manually remove the duplicate data. It's just a matter of fetching the TMDB data.

No, at this time it only works for movies. Will this thing work for TV shows too (especially premium cable shows on HBO, etc.)?
It's up on my site...I'd like to see some sites where it's up and running![]()
