    Hi,

    Scenario
User A is watching Node X
User B posted a thread on Node Y, yesterday
Moderator moves the thread of User B to Node X
User A gets an alert stating that "User B started a thread... a moment ago"

    Is this normal?

    Thanks,
    Super120

    Yes.

It's an option when moving the thread.

Hi Jake, thanks for your input but I'm talking about the time discrepancy.

The thread in fact was posted yesterday however the alert is saying that it was posted "a moment ago".

    Is this normal?

Probably. It's going by the time the thread was moved.

I'm also not sure if this is a designed or a bug. Hope a dev to confirm the answer.

The time displayed is the time the alert was created. The thread creation time isn't used.

I see but it sometimes is confusing because it says that a thread has been posted "a moment ago" when in fact it could have been posted many days back. Imho the thread creation date should be used instead of using the time when the thread was moved as the thread creation date in the alert.

Anyway if this is as desgined well nothing to do here...

This is 100% correct. The time is of the alert.
