That's the first thing I thought of...in which case, I loved Alvin and the Chipmunks as a kid.

That's what's wrong with the world now......they have less Alvin and the Chipmunks and more Twilight and crap like that. Cartoons may have been basic compared to what they are today but they were good and wholesome. Not packed with a bunch of violence. Whatever violence there was it was good vs evil. Not just going out and killing whoever.

Yeah, the quality of the stories are terrible. But I'm sure our parents said the same thing about the stuff we watched.

Have you seen that they've done to the old Road Runner cartoons? You can't recognize them from the originals they've been cut so much because of the "violence".
