XF 1.3 Thumbnails opening new page rather than lightbox

Hi - on my new install thumbnail images are opening full size images in a new page instead of a lightbox overlay. The only option I can find is re lightbox working on all images in a thread. I have that selected.

What am I missing?

Apologies all - this seems to be a specific issue on my netbook using Linux Mint 14 & Firefox 23 (v1 for Mint)
