Threads closed for lack of interest

Couldn't figure out the right sub-forum to ask this question - please move if necessary.

If a suggestion thread was closed several years ago for "lack of interest," but you feel there will be sufficient interest in it now, what is the appropriate action? Start a new thread? Or request for the old thread to be brought out of "closed" status?

No I've actually witnessed what he is talking about lol. Following reply is "How can I when the thread is closed". Might have only been once. But it was memorable.

If there is an open duplicate, it is tagged as a duplicate. Otherwise, suggestioning again what was tagged as lack of interest is what is correct to do.
