Couldn't figure out the right sub-forum to ask this question - please move if necessary.

If a suggestion thread was closed several years ago for "lack of interest," but you feel there will be sufficient interest in it now, what is the appropriate action? Start a new thread? Or request for the old thread to be brought out of "closed" status?

    Thanks

    Start a new thread.

And the reply from a moderator would come quickly:
    "This has already been suggested."

That's if the original suggestion is still active and not tagged Lack of Interest.

No I've actually witnessed what he is talking about lol. Following reply is "How can I when the thread is closed". Might have only been once. But it was memorable.

If there is an open duplicate, it is tagged as a duplicate. Otherwise, suggestioning again what was tagged as lack of interest is what is correct to do.
