XF 2.0 Thread tag page - enable moderation?

On the thread tag pages on mobile there's a drop down box that says "enable moderation" and the drop down option is just "thread". Clicking it then allows the threads to be moderated (giving them the selection checkbox, etc).

It all seems very clunky. I assume it's because you can tag other content rather than just threads but it seems quite confusing?

It hasn't changed from XF1 so it's one of those things that no one has noticed before or had a problem with until now...

But, indeed, it's because the search results pages (which tags uses too) support multiple content types.

We do actually support multiple inline mod content types per page now (we didn't in XF1) but we've kept it how it is mostly for simplicity and consistency, ironically.

There's definitely a danger of something like this happening if you've got a page full of many content types:

(Just for the avoidance of doubt, Articles and Blogs are just mocked up and not actual real content types!!!)

We feel it's probably slightly more sensible and clearer to make people focus on one content type at a time.

Thread tagging is new in 1.5 indeed, but what we're talking about here is actually part of the search system since XF 1.4:

To view this content we will need your consent to set third party cookies.

So you've always had to use a menu to select which content type you want to moderate in search result style lists :)
