XF 1.5 thread subscriptions

I'm sure I 've seen an option to remove all thread/post email subscriptions but I might be wrong, does this exists where admin can bulk remove everyone from their subscriptions?

There is no option for that.

Members have to manage their own subscriptions.

Well you can do it user by user. Go to edit the user in the ACP and click "manage watched threads" in the actions mention.
