XF 1.5 Thread Deletion Qualifier?

Our regular usergroup has can delete their own posts / threads within 48 hrs. Is there a way to add a qualifier where a user's own threads cannot be deleted if another user has posted within them?

Recently ran across a user with upwards of 10 full blown support threads that once resolved they deleted. This doesn't make it easy for other users utilizing search for similar issues..

That would require custom development to do properly.

You may be able to hide the delete link by editing the templates and using a conditional statement related to the number of posts, but it wouldn't just apply to members other than the original author.
