XF 2.0 This add-on cannot be installed/upgraded

Hello,

I'm trying to update my addon, I synced the version and rebuilt it, but I got the following error when installing it on my production environement :

We found some errors while trying to upgrade the following add-on: Addon · 5.2.6 Beta -> 1.0.2
The following errors must be resolved before continuing:

• This add-on cannot be installed/upgraded because 8 files are missing.

What I did in that case was to install the old version again, uninstall that und install the new one.

Coming from a google search.

I used composer to manage some libraries and the installer complained with a similar error.
A quick solution is to rename or delete the hashes.json file (if you're not confident about the integrity of the files, you should probably use the solution described by @S Thomas.
