How would the app automatically attach the cat image to the cat forum?I navigate to a forum that takes cat pics
How would the app automatically attach the cat image to the cat forum?
All too often I see the inaccurate comparison of FB/Instagram/whatever to forums.
The equivalent on a forum would be your profile page, not a forum.

You're right. When I'm looking at a pic on my phone and I hit Share, the forums I'm on don't come up...You create a custom UI that guides the user where to share it, just like with all the other apps.
You share to the Forum App through the native mobile share sheet., it then asks you which community to share it on, then which node, your profile, to the gallery, or a specific member.
So the same number of steps as uploading to a forum then. You create a custom UI that guides the user where to share it, just like with all the other apps.

It's a valid concern and one that needs to be solved for. Social is not categorized like Forums. How would the app automatically attach the cat image to the cat forum?

Him: "For the stuff I am sharing here on this site, can I get an notification for that? I guess since the site is not an app, I won't be able to."
Me: "Hold on, what is your device?"
Him: "Apple."
Push is not possible for Safari as far as I know, am I wrong? I don't have Apple devices, so can't test.Er, I use an imac Pro and an iPhone. I have a forum. I get notifications. What is the issue?
Last I knew push wasn't native to apple products but that could have changed, Chris explained it earlier in this thread if memory serves.Push is not possible for Safari as far as I know, am I wrong? I don't have Apple devices, so can't test.
I mean notifications, as in emails. I get email notifications. I said nothing about push (which I turn off as it is so annoying)Push is not possible for Safari as far as I know, am I wrong? I don't have Apple devices, so can't test.
The guy clearly talked about an app and how to get notifications on his phone. And you thought about email notifications? It makes no sense.I mean notifications, as in emails. I get email notifications. I said nothing about push (which I turn off as it is so annoying)
