XF 2.0 "The site is currently being upgraded. Please check back later." message while adding add-on

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and also a newbie to Xenforo. My forum was working fine after installation until i tried installing one add-on and since then the page is saying "The site is currently being upgraded. Please check back later."

I tried deleting the add-on from the server and even then this message wouldn't go. I had done lot of customization to the base version of the software and don't want to lose it.

Is there any tutorial to diagnose and resolve this issue. Any help will be appreciated!

I already have 2.1.1 version and there is no update past this version. When i went to upgrade page I can only see the option to either reinstall or rebuild master data. I suspect both options will erase the customization i have done to the forum...

Is there any repair files like option anywhere?

Maybe the add-on you installed not compatible with xF2.1.1
you have to delete it from the DB.

Rebuild Master Data should not affect any customizations you have done.
