XF 1.5 The mention "@" doesn't work in conversations

Not sure I even remember this ever working, can you NOT "@" mention someone in a conversation?

No, it's not supported.

If you post @Amaury, it will still convert it to a mention link, it just won't alert the user. The popup also won't appear.

Do you REALLY want to mention people in a convo that they are not involved in and it alert them that someone is talking about them in a convo that they aren't/can't participate in?

Or are you wanting it to send an invite into the conversation when they are mentioned (in which case, it is extending the current ability).

Not really interested in mentioning anyone is a conversation, just thought I had seen it at one time. No biggie.
