I'm catching up fast, 7.2 million posts now at roughly 8k posts per day.

Ooh I'm jealous :P

I can't wait to have the list updated(it's been a year since I posted in this thread when we reached 250K and now are at 425K)
 
I don't have time to go through the first post and all of the recent posts and check and update everything, but if someone else wants to do it and send it to me, I will update the first post.

I don't see much of a problem with it (the fact that it's a "community" post tells me it is created by members), but here's a cool idea. In the next XF version, give forum owners the option to send usage data back to XF, and also the options to have the info display publicly and to be specific (naming the site) or anonymous (stats only)--just basic stuff like number of threads, posts, version number and number of members. It could be a once a day or even once per month cron which would submit the information. For that reason I would not mind the software "phoning home" as I'm helping support a product that in turn has helped our communities grow.

I understand wanting to keep some information under wraps (for example, do they really want to let everyone on the Internet know they've sold "X" number of licenses?), but to maybe offer a few filtered lists of the number of forums with 100,000+ posts, 1 million+, 10 million+, etc. would be nice for showing off active forums.

I have started tracking forums at http://www.forumrankings.net stats pulled in once a day.

Added a bunch of forums from this topic should make it little easier to see which are the biggest forums. And a lot of Xenforo forums have made in the top 25 forum list of sites that I am indexing/added.

I also have Xenforo verification php script which pulls messages ,discussions, member totals from a Xenforo forum when uploaded to the root of Xenforo which is the preferred way for me to get data. So feel free to add your own site or other sites.
