XF 1.2 The alerts doesnt show up

The picture below shows the alerts that show up on xenforo, but on my forum, they never pop up like that.

That popup will appear when an ajax action is performed and you have new alerts.

If you do not see them on your style, it is most likely a styling issue that hides them.

Do you know what kind of styling issue that may hide them? I don't see that alert and i don't see the alert that is supposed to show up on the user drop down menu next to (conversations) when there is a new message either. This is frustrating
