Oops. I knew I'd forgotten something.Great work! Does this have the column I requested for?![]()
Correct, although there is a small bug with it -- fix coming very shortly.I need to have Custom Fields installed to link a thread? Because now there is no option to choose the linking thread if I don't have Custom Fields installed.
The following error occurred:

Bug fixes:
- Fixed issues with discussion link custom field.
No plans, but should be possible if you are interested. Are you planning to add "URL Portions" (friendly URLs) to this like the feature for pages and forums?
There is a small bug, which probably doesn't help. Fix will follow this post.I am absolutely lost on linking a Library Article to a thread now.... I have this and Custom Fields installed, and even after reading all posts in both threads, I am still clueless. Meh.![]()
Bug fixes:
- Fixed bug that custom thread field for selecting linked article doesn't show 'Create New Thread' option if there are no threads in the forum already.
- Fixed bug that you can select a default thread for a linked article -- this seems a bit pointless!!
- Fixed bug that default selections for selecting linked article are ignored if user is in a user group that can not view the fields.
- Now uses minified javascript file for linked article dropdown.
- Now only one...
So I am now not able to link my articles to a discussion thread unless I install the Custom Fields modification? There is a small bug, which probably doesn't help. Fix will follow this post.
All you need to do is go into the custom thread field and set it to appear on all your library nodes that you want linking with threads and all the forum nodes that you want to allow threads to be created in. Then set the usergroups that you want it to appear for.
If you want to set a default forum, you can do this by editing the node and going to the Default Values tab.
Correct, although all previous links will stay intact if you don't install. So I am now not able to link my articles to a discussion thread unless I install the Custom Fields modification?
Your licence covers this.My main issue with that is I don't want to have to licence a modification I don't need on my site, in order to regain functionality that was previously there when I bought the licence for this modification.![]()
Thanks JonYour licence covers this.
Do you have the custom fields add-on installed? Are any fields set as required? When you go to add a second page in the article, I get this:
![]()
But there are no more empty fields on page 2. This is after already posting the first page, and editing in a second.
- It still shows up once refreshing though.
Temporary fix: install the custom fields add-on.While creating new node:
![]()
