XF 1.1 Taking 30 - 60 seconds to edit users

I've been having a lot of problems with saving usergroups / editing users and generally making changes to the forum in the admin cp. It takes more than 30 seconds to save changes to a user I've edited.

xenForo displays the following error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/username/public_html/library/XenForo/Model/Permission.php on line



I have increased the execution time so I can actually do some work but this is a little too long in my opinion. I do have quite a few usergroups, but I am not sure if that should be causing this much time for me to edit groups/users.

Well that makes sense, I do have quite a few groups because of the Ice Shop addon.

I also have a lot of nodes, is there a way we can archive the nodes? Make it so they are per se "soft deleted"
