Make sure you have 'BBCode parser level' set to Basic or Full

I apologize if this was mentioned earlier in this long thread, I apparently missed it.

I just purchased this add-on and wanted to know if there was a way to change the word "Shoutbox" to something like "Chatroom" on the Navigation tab and on the Shoutbox page? I chose the /forums/chat/ url address for the chatroom and I'd like the navigation tab and top of the chatroom page to match.

I'm also having another issue where the "who's in chat" is showing me in the chat room when I haven't been in there for hours. Other members on my forum also complain of this. Any ideas is there is a setting I need to adjust or something to fix this?

You can improve the accuracy of chat online status by either enabling 'Fast activity updates' or disabling Speed Mode

That is not possible unfortunately as it would make the archive thread too hard to browse

See the option 'forum activity permissions user' - basically create a dummy user that does not have access to your spam section and set the user ID there
 
@Luke F maybe you should restyle the chatbox to make the users in chat on the right. Just a suggestion. Being able to see who is in the chat easily, to moderate/etc., is really handy and for users who want to easily look over to see who is chatting.

I made some changes to the CSS myself in my own stuff. Avatars at 32 pixels now and 5 pixels padding for messages. But my concern is that, there is a lot of missing features.
  • Chat join/left sounds.
  • Better toolbar (the current one is preset that we have to design ourselves) - it would be better to pop out with all the options we can do.
  • Better styling for messages. The way it is now, is not that clean looking. I can change this myself of course, but I am giving feedback for you to change.
  • The header MOTD spot is ugly on my particular skin. It doesn't look that good. I have been having a hard time finding out how to style it better. There's too much whitespace and a need for some sort of border like in the default theme.

I googled it, and i got no solution so far...

It seems to happen only with this addon,even if the log is showing a mysqli error...

Problem solved: I checked "Separate file for each InnoDB table" in my webadmin panel.

But now, i would like to know how to correct this color issue:

I keep getting this error or very similar on a regular basis now and dont know what the problem is... I only use the WIDGET as that is my only requirement for a chatbox

It should inherit the colour of other buttons in your style. If you want to override the background colour of taigachat buttons specifically, add to EXTRA.css:

Thanks you, but the send button stay blue.
I guess that it is because it is not a part of the bbcode buttons.
 
Initial feedback on this add-on is thumbs up.

Is there a "like' feature on this that I'm missing?

Members would like to "like" chat entries and have those likes be made into notifications.

How does one remove the "members online now" sidebar box from the Full View page (and not from the main forum home page)?

Another suggestion: A "reply" link to the right of each chat message would be helpful (with associated notification in Alerts) so that it's easier to follow particular threads of discussion.

How about a Reply link to the right of each message. When clicked, the original message would be quoted (with user name), and a notification would appear in Alerts.
