I am having a slight problem and thought I would ask if anyone else is getting the same result.

When using bb code I have noticed that the curser does not sit in the correct spot, for example if a user hits url or the color button then it would look as follows.

Code:
[color=(cursor position is here)][/color]
[url=(cursor position is here)][/url]

That's intentional :)

Great work - we're using this and loving it.

Would just like to add that we are also experiencing the issue with chat messages from the past suddenly getting delivered. It's a bit problematic. Refreshing the shoutbox fixes it, but it can be a bit annoying/confusing none the less. This addon would be pretty much perfect if that problem could be worked out.

Thanks for the reply but I am a bit confused as to why it is intentional ?
Most of my users dont realize until after they post [color=Hello world!][/color] that they have to move the cursor to the correct position, And I am left to explain.

Seing that it is intentional... is their an easy fix that can be done on my end ?

It's far easier for users to:

1. Press the colour button
2. Enter a colour
3. Move the cursor along one space
4. Type their message, then hit enter.

As opposed to:

1. Press the colour button
2. Type what they want to say
3. Then move-all-the-way-back-and-reposition-the-cursor-carefully
4. Type the colour and then press enter.

I think that's the train of thought there; it really is far easier all round. (y)

Revert any template edits

I had that done as well.

I had one of the first versions of XF running when I went to release. I ended up (partly as an exercise) backing up the database, deleting the web folder, re-installing the software, and restoring the database. I lost the avatars and the custom banner that was up there, but not a huge deal. Now I know. I installed 0.4.1 and it works great! Thank you!

Ive added this to my site and I also have to F5 in order to see any messages appear. Max refresh is set at 10

Using Chrome btw

Anyone els ehad the problem on your site peggy? And what browser are you on?

No one has reported any issues, no. I use FireFox 4.0.1

hmmmm odd ... Looking at it myself for now anyways as wanna make a few modifications to it anyways..

Def gonna be writing and releasing an addon for this ;) ......

I've found a bug as well, one of my members knows how to make the chatbox quadruple post as he post them. it's getting very annoying.

bug.webp

EDIT: I found the cause, if you post in the shoutbox, and press enter very quickly over and over. It causes the shout box to multiply the post.

It does not work on firefox 4, but so far chrome, Safari and Opera will allow this to happen

There is a module for xenporta..
it is even included in the folder.

You need to upload one file to library/EWRporta/Block and then you can just import the module.

There is an annoying bug for me in firefox 4.01. Upon loading the page it doesn't scroll to the end.. it scrolls to the second last post.

That's caused by images or oversized smilies and is pretty awkward to do anything about.
