XF 1.5 @tagging but using it for resources instead of users

I was wondering if there was a way to use the same system as the @User tagging but instead use it to tag a resource. Its something that has been suggested and it seems like a decent idea.

I realize that people could just use links but the @ tag is such a convenient way of doing that. Is there any way to do this?

@Brogan I realized that it might come to that. Is there a certain file that handles the tagging that I can take a look at to get a good idea of how to do it?

@ArcheXerxes have a look at the sourcecode for my free User Mentions Improvements add-on for how I've implemented usergroup tagging.

There is a bunch of places you need to hook todo it properly.
