Store and Edit PHP files online

PHP Docbook online editor looks interesting and is this possible for an individual developer to have something just like it - on a different site or on their own server? Also, does anyone have experience with online editors while developing your own plugin or add-on? Do you have a recommended site?

I used to use cloud9 at c9.io which I found quite easy to use.

I prefer developing locally though.

I'm really enjoying eclipse and ZendServer on a local Windows 8 box (never got iMac working) but because I'm not always on the same machines maybe online is a good solution.
