XF 1.1 Spam Bots

Hello,

Today i had my first spam bot, i made the registration using Questions wrote by me. Please i don't want to see them! I move to XenForo because free Forums are fulled of spam bots and there is no way to avoid it. I don't wanna get them again. Please!! Help :'(

All forums get targeted by spam bots and XenForo is no exception.

There are a couple of issues at work here. You're using Q&A, which is good. But how good are the questions? Are they questions that can be easily answered by a machine? Spam programs can answer math questions, "what is the fourth word in this sentence" questions, etc. Finally, are you sure it was a "spam bot" and not an actual manual registration by a spammer?

Just to correct you, this isn't true.
There are spam prevention mods for just about every forum, blog or wiki site that you'd want to put up..
The steps are the same in all of them as well.
Find the spam mods, install and configure it, go enjoy a cool beer

I noticed today that I had a few spam registrations, so my theory is that a new version of XRu*er has been released, with an updated question/answer file.

I simply changed my questions. I win.
