I don't think embedding YouTube videos would take up much space at all, where as adding your local host videos will eat up HDD space and Bandwidth real fast, never mind add to the server load when it converts the video.

Actually I produce videos that I'd like to have only available on my site with a teaser on Youtube to point traffic at me. It won't be available for the users to upload their own videos or I'd be eating my resources just like you said.

My question was 'Can you add a feature so that the last image added is the album cover?' I didn't get a no or yes but from your reply it seems like a no. I'm guessing from the fact that you did not reply to this was also no:

We can do that with 'Collections'. Can you make it so that XenMedio's Categories turns into a 'Collection'?​

So basically I won't be able to import my XenMedio to XenGallery since the last video thumbnail won't show up on the index in XenGallery and they can't be imported to Categories or Collections.

They are possible if you do some modifies. Really, I cannot do all the things requested by each individual member. The are lot of features in queue for XenGallery.

It will never alert all people. It only alert people who related to that album/photo/video, in this case, they are: content's owner, people who liked/commented/watched.

Newsfeed is the another story but of course it has the things you mentioned.

They will be there without any action from you. Just like threads, posts in XenForo.

XenGallery will take currently logged-in user, who is importing. So it does not effected by that.

As I said above, first content will be set as cover if album does not have cover. Cover is not last_added_content so it will not take last image.

You might want to check your: max_input_vars (mostly) and post_max_size in your php.ini. This album contains lot of fields together with long title and description which could be the problem.

Maybe a regular expression to remove all unnecessary html codes/bb codes?

I am looking at the possibility of implementing this on my forum, however i want to make absolutely sure that it will do what (or at least most of) I am looking for

Im basically looking for an addon that will not only allow people to easily upload and access their own media, but to be able to add it to a thread with as much ease as possible.

Ideally, id like my members to be able to upload a picture to a thread in a similar way to an attachment and that not only shows in the thread, but their own gallery.

This isnt something i can see this addon does, however i can see that you can use a BB code. Is this achieved by a simple picture number?

No need to remove. A workaround will be added next update to address that.

You can use BBCode with picture's id or insert url to the input which be shown when click Insert album/content in editor (XF 1.2 only). You should try out on sonnb.com before make a decision.

XenGallery will not get attachments from threads so your mentioned feature will not available.
