sonnb submitted a new resource:

sonnb - Xenforo Trigger Lightbox (version 1.0.3) - Trigger Lightbox view for inserted images and attachments.

This is my very old addon and be posted here by request from several members here.

This addon helps you to resize your inserted images and attachments (configurable Width and Height in Options). It also trigger Lightbox rather than enlarge the images that is default behavior of XF.

Installation:
- Upload files inside "upload" folder to your XenForo root.
- Import XML.
- Configure Max width and Max height for your being resized images.
- You are ready to go.

Got two questions about this:
1. What size would you advise the images to be resized to?
2. Does this support images in signatures?

1. It depends on your site. If you have a lot of pictures per thread page, you should specific a smaller size for better content viewing.
2. It was designed to not resize signature's images.

Okay, I see. Well, if you do plan on updating this in the future, support for Signature images would be great! :)
 
I wonder which stylesheet I would need to edit to change the image background color to my main content background color as I have a dark skin and the background of transparent images is now white :)

An example would be this image on a dark background

Could you please give me a demo?
 
Tried this addon just now and after installation checked the website and all images had disappeared including from signatures! Disabling the addon fixed the issue, any ideas?
 
Still breaks all the images on the forum, specially Flickr hosted, breaks all imaged on the signature too! But when you click the broken image icon, then they pop up fine in the lightbox! Bizarre!
 
BUG report! I import a lot of newsfeeds from other sites via RSS -- and often these imported articles contain images!
When I enable this addon -- (which I really love) -- these images do NOT show up but show to be blank!
Hope - you could fix this... thanks in advance....

The idea behind is to faster speed to users but it might cost your BW on heavy site with images. I would try to update it soon to add an option wherever to bypass image.php resizing.
