Facebook access tokens last 60 days. So you will need to re-link your account every 60 days but I'm trying to make that as transparent as possible.

Great, Thanks. Yeh, i knew this fact. Sorry, I thought this may be of some help to you, an easy alternative is define a cron to retrieve a new token.
 
Cron jobs should be unnecessary.

The token will expire, we will check if it is still valid, if it isn't then we send them off to Facebook for a new one.

The process is pretty transparent, on a whole.
 
This is both an aesthetic change and a functional change in the next version...

Haha, got so much more to do after this is finished...!

With regards to 1.1 of SSU there was a bug and I've just put a nasty fix in place. (It works, and works well, but need to improve it in a future version).

I just want to implement one new feature and I will release.

Chris Deeming updated Social Status Updater with a new update entry:

Rewritten Facebook integration, with bug fixes

Although this release mainly focuses on the resolution of some bugs, it also brings with it a hefty re-write of the Facebook portions.

Bug fixes:
  • The "Use XenForo Facebook Login App" option now works properly.
  • Facebook API re-written to be more efficient.
  • Facebook access token lasts longer than the current browser session
New features:
  • Slight aesthetic approvements
