I hope they can somehow enforce it on all porn sites. Would make filtering them so much easier... but then i know it aint gonna happen.
 
I guess if they allow current adult sites to continue to operate under .com, .org, .net... then why would such sites migrate to the new suffix (and risk being filtered)?

More money for people who sell domain names.
 
It works both ways... If porn sites can't be forced to migrate to .xxx, then isn't it also true that anyone can register a .xxx domain, regardless of the content? With possible exception of .edu and .gov, this is essentially the case with any other domain extension.

Probably, although good luck getting many visitors at such a domain...
 
This would be bad for me. I have adult content on my website but it is not strictly a pornographic website. It is a website for comics, we just happened to support adult content as well that is related to the comics.
