Lack of interest SMTP service resend timeout

Probably this doesn't concern you much if your SMTP provider is near you. But when their servers located very far like my site it will sometimes causing timeout from their end and showing in our logs in daily basis. It is not cool. So i would suggest to develop a cron for resending any failed emails that going out to the SMTP providers. Thanks.

So now i'm wondering does really 2.1 above now has retry function for failed email? But yes, how did the error still logged?
