XF 2.1 Smile button non-functioning

Short video attached, seems as though the smile button just wont work.

Are you having the same problem on a unmodified default style with all addons disabled?

Yeah it's happening with all styles unfortunately.

Recently I went into MySQL and deleted a ton of smiles, could that be related?

That's what I figure, it was working before... but what could have gone wrong after deleting smilies?

I don't know, but it could be possible that the smile tray is expecting the smiles to be there that were deleted and trying to load them. I could be completely wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

Well how would I test that???

Only way I can think of is from a working backup on a test install, and remove smiles from that DB.

Maybe a XF staff member knows if is possible to happen from that though.

Maybe try and rebuild the master data, it can't hurt.

Why would you do that?
There is a UI for a reason.

Try toggling a smilie on and off in the ACP.

Well because I didn't want any of them, and Xenforo doesn't have a bulk delete option from ACP.
All of the posts here on Xenforo forum direct users to delete them from MySQL??


How would toggling them fix it? That doesn't seem to make a difference.
